Spokesperson: Sending US troops to Jordan comes within joint cooperation
Amman, April 17 (Petra) -- State Minister of Media Affairs and Government Spokesman, Mohammad al-Momani, on Wednesday said that sending US troops to Jordan comes with joint cooperation between the Jordan Armed Forces and the US army.
Al-Momani, who is also minister of political and parliamentary affairs, said that officials from both countries have been in contact over sending 200 US soldiers to Jordan within joint cooperation and coordination.
He added that the two sides maintain constant cooperation and coordination to boost the training and defense capabilities of the Jordan Armed Forces in light of the deteriorating situation in Syria.
