Oil consumption up 2.5% this year
Amman, Oct 10 (Petra) –– The Kingdom's consumption of key oil derivatives has risen by 2.5 per cent since the start of the year, up until the end of August, at about 2,765,000 tons, compared to 2,669,000 tons in the same period in 2016, according to statistics.

The statistics, which were obtained by Petra, showed diesel consumption was stable, at about 1,189,360 tons.

Jordan's consumption of gasoline (90-octane and 59-octane) was slightly up by 0.32%, at 962,000 tons, while kerosene and aviation fuel recorded the highest hike of 14.3%, at 326,802 tons, followed by liquefied gas, at 9.5%, or 286,577 tons, according to the figures.
