Israel forces conduct 2,466 arrests in Jerusalem in 2017
Ramallah, Jan.3 (Petra)--Israeli occupation forces arrested 2,466 Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem in 2017, according to a statistical study.

The study which was issued by the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem that which monitors Israeli violations in Jerusalem, said that the arrests included 720 Palestinian minors, 26 elderly people, 54 children under 12 and 88 females, including six minors and four elderly women.

The center also noted that the youngest detainee last year was a 6-year-old boy from Silwan and a 7-year-old boy from the Shuafat neighborhood, adding that among the detainees were citizens from Britain, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

The biggest number of Palestinians arrested by the occupation forces was in December with some 432 detainees, followed by July 425, and April 222.
