PM meets UNRWA Commissioner-General
Amman, March 12 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Awn Al-Khasawneh on Monday discussed with Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Filippo Grandi, the services the agency provides to Palestinian refugees in Jordan and the region.
Talks during the meeting also dealt with the Jordanian support to the organization and the diplomatic effort with donor countries to make their contributions to enable the organization to provide its services efficiently.
Khasawneh noted the government’s commitment to exert efforts to urge donor countries to fulfill their obligations.
Grandi hailed Jordan’s understanding for UNRWA’s role in supporting refugees.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs and Legislation Ayman Odeh and the representative of UNRWA in Amman.
