Amman, Nov. 29 (Petra)- Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Prince Faisal Ben Al-Hussein on Wednesday attended a major religious ceremony as the Muslim world marks the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed tomorrow.

In an address during a ceremony held at the Islamic Cultural Center of the King Abdullah, the Founder, Mosque, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Wael Arabiat, said the Prophet's message has the authentic factors of its sustained continuity, adding it countered historic attempts to tamper with its perpetual values of tolerance, equality, and compassion.

The Islamic civilization was the first to render education compulsory for all segments of the society, concomitantly renouncing dominant hierarchical nature of schooling, and invented the university institution and propagated this imitative worldwide, Arabiat told attendees.

" It was built on the principle of guaranteeing religious freedom for non-Muslims;its achievements and heritage served humanity as a whole.
