US aware of difficult economic situation in Jordan
Washington, November 16(Petra)-- U.S. State Department's Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner said the US was aware of "the difficult economic situation" in Jordan, noting that the protesters had a right to demonstrate "as long as they do so peacefully''.
He added that the Jordanian people had "economic, political concerns" as well as "aspirations". We believe that King Abdullah's roadmap for reform addresses these concerns and aspirations, Toner said.
He also called for a more inclusive political process that would promote security, stability as well as economic development in the kingdom.
